Digipam is a brand name for pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) medication that is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, and peptic ulcer disease. It works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach.
Digipam tablets are available in strengths of 20 mg and 40 mg. The usual starting dose for GERD is 20 mg taken once daily. The dosage may be increased to 40 mg daily if needed. The usual starting dose for heartburn is 20 mg taken once daily.
